Bill Gates Names 3 Jobs That AI Can’t Replace

In a recent podcast with Zerodha’s Nikhil Kamath, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates shared insights on the future of AI and its impact on employment. Gates acknowledged that while generative AI is rapidly advancing and will replace many jobs, certain fields will continue to rely heavily on human expertise.

According to Gates, biologists, energy experts, and coders are three professions that AI is unlikely to fully replace. He emphasized that these roles demand a high degree of human insight, adaptability, and innovation, making them resistant to automation for the foreseeable future.

Gates has previously expressed optimism about AI’s potential, predicting that technological advances could help reduce work weeks to just two or three days. He also noted that while AI may take over many white- and blue-collar jobs, it could free people to pursue more meaningful activities.

Despite growing concerns around automation, Gates remains hopeful, seeing AI as a net positive for humanity that can ease labour demands and enhance quality of life.
