Since its release in 1998, Google has been the most popular search engine on the planet. There’s wasn’t a worthy competitor until the release of Bing over a decade later in 2009 by the Microsoft Corporation.
Bing is a web search engine owned and operated by Microsoft and is one of Microsoft’s success stories of the last decade.
Bing is the 2nd most popular search engine worldwide. Yes, Google does lead the market but Bing has several great benefits that Google doesn’t.
The smaller search engine also offers eight autocomplete options, double that of Google’s four. This helps users find certain products and websites easier when they might be struggling to find the exact wording
Another distinctive feature of Bing’s is that they offer a rewards program. Those who subscribe to the service can earn points and exchange them for gift cards
Bing is seeing 23% year-on-year growth in search marketing and currently has over fourteen billion searches carried out per month by 681 million Bing users among the Microsoft Search Network globally.
Bing competes directly with Google’s search engine, and as long as Bing is pulling in significant numbers it would be very hard for any regulator to label Google as a monopolist in terms of internet search engines.
